Concrete FAQ

What's the difference between concrete and cement?
Although the two words are often used interchangeably, they are not the same thing. Cement is an ingredient used to make concrete.

Is all concrete made the same?
It is not all made the same. Concrete can be altered in how strong it is. In fact, when you fill out our
order request form, you can choose just how strong you want your concrete.

Are there different colors of concrete available?

The color of concrete after it dries can vary due to the minerals added to the mix. If you are looking for a specific color or tone for your concrete installation, it is best to discuss it with our team members during a consultation.

Is cracking on the surface of concrete normal?

Due to concrete not being a flexible material, cracking is bound to happen with age and different weather conditions. However, cracking will not affect the durability or function of your surface. If the cracking is bothering your aesthetic preferences we can easily fill in the lines with easy maintenance.

How long does the concrete curing process take?

The first couple of days are extremely important to the concrete curing process. As a concrete supplier, we suggest allowing seven full days to allow the concrete to settle and cure. For the next month after that, the surface will continue to strengthen. There are different factors that can play into this process, such as weather and the type of concrete poured. Therefore, check with your contractor for more specific instructions.
